Do you know the wedding shoe game? If not – never fear! I’m here to tell you all about our favourite wedding day game.
Why is it our favourite? There are plenty of fun games and activities that people choose to integrate into their wedding day schedule, but I reckon that nothing beats a good round of the wedding shoe game. It’s the one that never fails to get everyone laughing and smiling – and we’re a bit biased, because this means plenty of opportunities for us to get fantastic candid photos of your friends, family, and yourselves!
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
Usually the MC takes the lead here, and sets up two chairs, back to back, at the front of the reception area. You two newlyweds sit back to back, ensuring you can’t see each other, and swap a shoe each. In your hands, you’ll be holding one of your own shoe, and one of your partner’s shoes.
Now it’s time for the fun to begin! The MC of the game will then proceed to read out a selection of questions (perhaps, “Who is the better driver?”) and, rather than shouting out “me!”, you’ll hold up your own shoe, or your partner’s shoe to choose them. Simple, and yet super effective – and a tonne of fun, you just need to hear the way guests react to know how much fun they are having !
When planning this game, the organiser will need to pick about 10-15 questions, because it always works best when the questions are tailored to the couple and their interests you need to make sure organiser is someone who knows you and your partner well. However here are a few of my favourite questions to get you started!
